Wrinkles are a normal part of the ageing process but can make you look tired, angry and older than you really are.
Muscle Relaxants
Muscle relaxants are purified proteins that have been used to treat wrinkles for over 10 years. A tiny amount of the product is injected into muscles that cause lines and temporarily prevents nerve signals from reaching the muscles to allow them to relax. Once the muscles are relaxed, the overlying skin appears smoother. Side effects of the treatments are rare and temporary.
Muscle relaxants should only be injected by an experienced clinician who makes sure the correct amount is placed properly in the right areas to ensure the desired naturally beautiful look is created.
Muscle relaxants are used to treat lines that are visible both when moving the face and at rest. Botulinum toxin can be injected into the muscles of the forehead and around the eyes. Once injected, it takes a period of 2 weeks for results to appear and lasts for up to 4 months.
